Yesterday was as they say in football circles, ‘a game of two halves’ or in our case a day of two halves. Georgia’s best friend wanted to go Crook in County Durham, which was nearly an hours drive away, some of which was in the countryside which was good as my car needed a good run out after major repairs being done on it earlier in the week. The weather out in the open countryside was to say the least, very windy indeed.

After that journey we had another drive of nearly an hour to Whitley Bay to watch Whitley Bay Football Club play against Guilsborough Town. After we got there we were approached by one of the board who asked if we would like to pick the man of the match for Whitley Bay at the end of the match. Being a life long supporter I was so happy to do this as was Denise.

Unfortunately Whitley Bay got beat 2 nil in a game totally affected by the strong winds then heavy rain. Despite the weather and the defeat it was an enjoyable family afternoon out.
