My good friend Carl has just started his own personal Blog.
A very helpful and informative blog from the guys at WordPress
What a weekend. While lots of you in the UK are off for the bank holiday, I had to endure work yesterday ( Good Friday ) and also tomorrow ( bank holiday Monday ). Today, I had a lovely lie in. Then this afternoon we went for a family walk in the local Nature reserve. Grace fed the ducks and swans. While we were doing this, a dog came past while being walked by his owner, and decided to jump straight in to try and get the swans, while his owner was shouting at it to get out of the water. One of the swans stood its ground, spread its wings and give an almighty hiss. The dog soon backed off and scarpered. It was very funny to watch.
One bonus of going for this walk was using my Casio EX-ZR100 camera, and finding out by accident how to do macro and super macro shots.
I’m really enjoying getting back into my photography after not doing it for so long due to ill health. Roll on my other blog being set up. It will eventually be a place to show some of my photos. Currently there is a problem with the domain name, so I’m waiting for GoDaddy getting back to me.
Welcome to The Wright Times blog.
My name is Steve, and I’m a father of a now teenage daughter, G and a twenty something ( chip off the old block ) son, J, and the partner of one very patient and caring lady, D. I love to have a rant about things, so you are warned.
I intend using this blog as a form of record about my life, and all the little and sometimes big, things that go on. We are just one normal family.
I have, for years wanted to write my life story, and after recent events in my life, I have decided I need to do this while certain stuff is fresh in my memory. I will over time, continue to add stuff to the blog relating to years gone by and try to keep them in order by adjusting the dates they were posted.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. Thanks again for popping by, and I hope you enjoy what you read and find it interesting. Please feel free to post comments relating to my posts.
Today, I bought myself a new camcorder. A Panasonic HDC-SD41. Gonna have fun with that. I will still use my trusty flip as well. I can’t believe how small camcorders have got.
Yesterday I went to a reunion for all the staff that worked at one of the bus companies I drove for. It was great seeing the ‘old’ faces again after so long. I was the same as a lot of other people there, remembering faces but not the names and remembering names but not faces. The old directors, who organised the do put on a free bar. Unfortunately, I had to drive so wasn’t able to have copious amounts of beer like some of them were. The free food was very nice indeed.
One of the old directors, had put on a display of all the old memorabilia that he had saved from his time at the company. Amongst the photos of buses ( some of which I drove ), were old company newspapers. It was great to see loads of my old workmates in there, as well as photos of myself, when I was younger, slimmer, and had hair.
